Fatherless Father’s Day

Celebrate and honor the life of your father

Why Fatherless Father’s Day?

Fatherless Father’s Day grew out of honoring two unexpected losses in my life: the loss of my own father and the loss of a mentor, a fatherlike figure.

Through sharing this ceremony with others who have lost their fathers, I discovered that when you share a memory of someone who has passed, a bit of grief that lives in your heart eases.

Sharing a favorite memory of your dad, or a fatherlike person, gives space for your heart to express the love you have for that person. Invoking their memory allows for a connection to arise between your heart and their eternal heart.

Please join me for Fatherless Father’s Day and honor your father in ceremony.

“To lose your father is to lose the one whose guidance and help you seek, who supports you like a tree trunk supports its branches.”
